As I have afore-mentioned, there is some really REALLY random stuff out there on the web. While it would take me a million years to sift through all of it, occasionally I find some real diamonds in the sea of virtual rocks.

This site particularly caught my attention, which I somehow arrived here from someplace else after clicking on a leak that said “The Freakiest Cereals Ever Made.” Not being able to help myself, I had to look. And further more amusing I noted that the URL for the post is:

If you haven’t already clicked on it and have stopped reading my ramblings, I forgive you and I completely understand. I had to look too.

I don’t exactly know what to say or how to respond to a couple of them…. King Vitaman is especially creepy in a Burger King… King… type of way. That and the word vitamin is spelled vita-man, leading me to wonder if this was not a both gender friendly/safe cereal?

I am also thoroughly amused with Captain Crunch.. Punch Crunch.. where the hippo on the box looks like he is about to maul the poor Captain. And I guess I am completely not old enough to understand what in the hell a “soap shaper” is. Do they mean like a pocket knife to carve things into soap? You could get knives as prizes in your cereal boxes at some point? WHAT?

My personal favorite of all of them is Kellogs’ “OKs” with a burly handsome looking Scotsman on them and the tagline “Br-r-awny Oat Cereal.” Eat these and you can be handsome, Scottish, and look good in skirts!!

The internet is a weird place. If you need to find something, no matter how bizarre or obscure of a goal or purpose you have in mind, chances are you will find at least ten people interested in the same thing. I am constantly amused by some of the random things I happen to stumble across on the web when in the pursuit of something else.

While I am of the school of thought, the more the merrier, I can not help but comment and point out some of the funny, bizarre and seemingly “shouldn’t have ever been created” type sites on the net. This section of my blog will showcase exactly that. Muse along with me and enjoy.

I don’t know if it is something in the air lately or what the deal is, but it seems like everybody around me is suffering from exhaustion and depression due to the effects of constant stress in their lives. I know that I myself am guilty of pushing myself too hard at times, not getting enough sleep and even at times forgetting to eat.

While everyone has some sort of stress in their lives, whether it be business related or emotional, financial or otherwise, it is important to take care of yourself and recognize when enough is enough. I have managed to self-manage my anxiety and not let myself get too overwhelmed by making an organized task lisk every morning.

While it would be ideal to accomplish everything on the list, we all know that life has other ideas about time and there is always some un-foreseen complications. Give yourself some slack, and don’t beat yourself up if you don’t accomplish everything on your list at the end of the day. Take one thing at a time and only do what you have the energy, time, and resources to do.

This has been a hard lesson for me as I have really had to learn to be patient and not get too impatient or frustrated when things didn’t go the way I had planned. Whatever project or task you are working on, make sure that you are taking time to rest, relax, eat and take care of yourself, even if it means stopping in the middle to take a nap or shower. Letting yourself get too stressed, tired and overwhelmed is un-productive because it can lead to sickness, exhaustion, and depression.

Give yourself some slack and make sure that you take care of yourself, too. Positive thinking promotes positive energy and you feel accomplished, happier, and healthier if you take things as they come and allow yourself some wiggle room. Happy tasking!
